Our Evolution
Aug 2021 - September 2023
November 2023 - February 2024
The early days at Darjeeling Walks shaped and reshaped us. Our understanding of the Himalayan Ecology evolved. The beauty of its diverse, rich cultures, and traditions have transformed us. Since then, we have been adapting the Himalayan Lifestyle. The Manjushree Garden is a Flagship Project to advance our work and research in the same direction.
We were scouting for locations to shoot a film. A story that is based on a Nepali farmer and a Filmmaker friend from Bombay. It was during then, we spotted one of the very few unspoiled, fertile villages. While filming, everyone in the village had become friends and family, perhaps something more than that :) We delved into further research to introduce our Flagship Project from this village.
March 2024 - 15th Aug'24
We started implementing our plans to establish an Eco Garden that also comprises an Eco School. Our Garden will soon be able to start accepting bookings for visits, stays, and experiences.
With a humble yet eventful start, we opened our Garden to travellers and visitors on the august occasion of our 78th Independence Day.
